Art for Wapiyapi at Tennyson Studios

At Camp Wapiyapi, a retreat near Estes Park offering respite for kids dealing with childhood cancer, ill children and their siblings don’t escape the toll their suffering takes so much as they learn that they’re not alone with it. They get to take a break from it all and have what every kid wants – to relax and have a good time. And then, in one of the nicest ways possible, they give back to the community that took them in.

Place bids and enjoy the day today from 4 to 8 p.m.; for tickets, $15 per person (or $35 for a family), go towww.wapiyapi.org or call 303-534-0883.
