Art Out Loud 3 Dec 2011
You make it happen.Art Out Loud is a project to bring opportunities to local artists and musicians, to spread awareness of the power of local art, and the richness of local art to local businesses. Every year, the project produces an annual public music festival to celebrate our creative heritages together in a public atmosphere, spreading awareness of artlessness and raising support for public creative education. SponsorshipInterested in reaching a large, young, attractive affluent audience? Read the Sponsorship Prospectus. Project AbstractArt Out Loud is a project to support local creative education by rallying local creative professionals and performers such as musicians, artists, photographers, and designers. One day out of the year our musicians and artists perform and exhibit Art Out Loud Festival to support free creative education across Colorado. Statement of needCreative children across Colorado are facing the fewest creative education classes in history. These courses are essential to a student’s well-rounded development, yet 1 in 6 schools in Colorado cannot afford a single creative class for a single student. More than 30,000 children in Colorado are unable to attend even one basic course in art, music, drama, writing, debate, dance, or literature. This is crippling the health of our economy, our community, and our shared future. Colorado’s students have spoken — and we have listened. Our creative sector is determined to support these classes, which are crucial to our long-term success. Art Out Loud is a solution that gives Colorado visual arts exhibitors and live performers a chance to raise support and awareness of artlessness. Project DescriptionArt Out Loud is a project designed to give opportunity to our local artists and musicians while at the same time supporting the artists of our future. Colorado MusiciansColorado Musicians pledge to perform, using their talent to support creative education programs through the Treehouse Youth Arts School, a free K-12 Arts School in the Santa Fe Dr Arts District. 2010 Roster included Flashbulb Fires, Gritch, Reno Divorce, Sophie & the Troll, Rachel James, Sean Waldron, Joe Zeigler, Bonnie & the Beard, B. Sous. Colorado ArtistsColorado Artists, Designers, and Crafters come together to create an art festival on the ArtWalk on Dec 2 (the night before) for First Friday, where 100% of their booth fees go to supporting creative education programs. In 2010 our participating artists included TraSh Bagz, Cassandra Lillard Fine Art, Gray Sparrow Art, Kimono Dragons, Studio Yoshida, Jeansonne’s Fine Designs, Natural Luster, Liz Ardnt, Kelly Ann’s Painting, Michelle Aruldoss, Tito Designs, HellaThready, Matt Nuffort, Drew Labarge, The Craftorium of TMiss Pink, Nerd Life Design, Marney Gagg, Anthony Seller Photography, Chaz Kraizer, Mad Tatters, Conari Arts, Winston’s Boutique, Amanda Cleveland. More partner artists are in need for 2011. The more we come together as a society of artists, the more we can better our future, and the future of our creative successors. Goals and ObjectivesThe goal of Art Out Loud is to rally enough support from Colorado’s creative sector to restore and maintain funding of basic creative education classes for every child in Colorado.
